We put our heart and soul into our work because we love what we do! This means we’ll show up on your day ready to go! Every ounce of out energy going towards creating a unique collection of images that you will enjoy for the rest of your lives. It means we’ll be right there with you from start to finish, not missing a beat. It means that when we say our goodbyes, we’ll get emotional because we’ve just spent your entire wedding day together. THAT is something special. Our mission is to tell your story and capture those incredible moments that happen. Even the ones you didn’t notice. When you receive your photos and look back on the day, you’ll be so immersed in the memories. It’ll be as if you’re right there, doing it all over again.

We combine photojournalism with our expertise. We won’t micro pose you but we won’t be a fly on the wall either. We’ll unobtrusively document your day. And when it’s time for family photos or portraits, we’ll jump in and guide you through it with tons of actions to keep it moving and full of energy. We strive for a balance of direction and encouragement to highlight your most photogenic self.

Ey Nice to meet you guys! I'm Silvi and I love Photography!
I was born in Argentina and moved to Mexico 18 years ago. I love it here so much that I can't imagine myself living anywhere else. My husband & I acquired Sweet Fire Photography at the end of 2017, when the last owner moved to Puerto Rico. I'm also the founder and lead photographer of Mayan Riviera Photography & Luxe boudoir.
I love to express myself in different ways and SweetFire allows me to do that. I love everything about my job! From answering emails, to the edition process and of course be right next to you during the wedding day! This is one of the most important days of your life - until now - and your trust means everything to me. Getting to know you as friends not just a client, a job, or a paycheck will be my first priority so when the wedding day comes we get to CELEBRATE WITH YOU! I love working with couples who share my adventurous spirit and desire to create something breathtaking that will last a lifetime. Your wedding is YOUR story. I have always had a passion for photography. WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY is such a challenge in many ways. I don’t work with models but real couples, I don’t pick the wedding location, I can’t control the weather, the wedding day is a one shot deal and it can unfold at a chaotic pace sometimes. I get one shot, two if I’m lucky to get a moment just right and we move on. I love the pressure and feelings of a day. I love capturing beauty and images for my clients they never knew were there. Giving my clients magazine quality photographs of themselves they never expected!
I started shooting weddings professionally in 2009 full time and have not looked back since.

I love to travel! thanks to my work as a photographer and filmmaker, I've been able to visit different countries. Learning about different cultures and enjoying eccentric foods. Combining all of this has created a beautiful vision of the world.
There comes a time when you find your fit, your purpose and your passion. I found my passion in the heart of storytelling through film. Visual storytelling. Capturing moments in a way nothing else can. Only a film will let you listen to your partners vows, see the change in his face when he first sees her walking down the aisle. At just 13 years old, during a family trip through South America, I took my first photograph—with a little help from my grandfather, of course. I was captivated by the power of capturing a moment that felt so significant to me. While I had already made home movies prior to this, that experience marked a turning point in my life.
I’m Diego Zugasty, born in Cancún, and I’ve always had a passion for capturing genuine, heartfelt moments. For me, no event encapsulates the full spectrum of emotions quite like a wedding. From excitement and nerves to relief and elation, every feeling is woven into the fabric of the day. My goal is to help you relax and truly enjoy the celebration you’ve spent so much time planning.
I am incredibly grateful to pursue my greatest passion—photography. This journey not only allows me to connect with wonderful people from diverse cultures and form lasting friendships but has also become a guiding mantra in my life. Hola! I'm Emmanuel and I would love to get involved in your story: laugh when you laugh, be moved when you are moved and, when tension is getting the best of you, remind you of all the love around you, everything you have to be thankful for and everything there is to enjoy.
Each person, each couple, each family is different and their story is unique, they have very different ways of connecting. That’s what moves my passion: capture connection, recall memories through images, provide tools to remember beautiful moments, tell stories.
I love to photograph landscapes, small details, children, families and couples. I try to document every thing through my lens. Photojournalism is a photography style based on telling a story through images, documenting small and big events without setting the scene. I make this style my own with my touch, my look, trying to create artistic and beautiful images that generate an impact.

I contacted SweetFire Photography prior to booking and we set up a Zoom meeting with Silvi. We knew immediately after we had to book her and her team. She has such a fun personality, and we knew she would do a wonderful job. The whole experience from start to finish was seamless and easy. Her communication was fantastic prior to the wedding through getting our photos and videos back.
On the day of the wedding, everyone showed up on time and ready to get to capture our day. They were so much fun to work with.
Our photos and video turned out AMAZING. Not only did they capture us, our families, but they managed to capture so many of our guests having a great time. I am so thankful for the memories they were able to capture that we will have forever.

I booked Silvina from Sweet fire Photography for my May 2018 wedding after EXTENSIVE research into photographers in the area. I booked a combo photo and video package They not only beat many competitors prices but they were also the sweetest! On our wedding day it rained and they managed to make it look like the most exciting, adventurous, and tropical wedding and put us right at ease. They were getting down on hands and knees to make shots and were up to do almost anything to get a good photo, they are a wonderful photography team! As well, our timing was all messed up and Silvina kept things moving along, even offering to stay a little longer when our time ran out and we still hadn't done the Father Daugher/Mother Son dances. They were an awesome team to work with and I had many compliments about them in the days following. They have a creative eye and will certainly capture the romance of your day.

Extremely happy with the service and the price! We chose Sweet fire to capture our wedding of 43 guests at the Azul Fives resort in Playa del Carmen. Silvina and her partner were very professional, organized and a delight to work with. I was very impressed with her direction to get everyone in the pictures we wanted and she knew all the spots at the resort and we got everything we wanted, even when we had new ideas spontaneously. We chose to also work with the videographer team that Sweet fire works with as well, and the entire team of 2 photographers and 2 videographers was wonderful.

From beginning to end working with Sweet Fire Photography was a great experience. I started working with Silvi long before being able to start actual planning for my destination wedding and she was so helpful for getting me prepared for my initial meetings with the staff at the resort. She was sure to check in periodically up until it was time for more serious planning and was always so energetic and reassuring, which is a relief with all the other wedding stressors. I lucked up and had her husband as my lead photographer and he did not disappoint. Lincoln kept us all on track and captured my husband and I in our true essence which I loved. The best part is it didn't take them long to return our pictures which is what most brides I hear complain about. We had sneak peaks less than a week after and final photos and videos within 2 months. Don't hesitate to book with them. You will be in good hands!

If you are looking for the perfect photographer who will capture your favourite moments, SweetFire Photography is the way to go. After much research, we finally decided to work with Silvina and we are so happy that we did. She was beyond efficient and effective at providing instructions to the guests. She ensured we got all our family photos taken in a timely manner while making everyone feel included. Our newlywed session was so much fun! She respected our requests but still found ways to push our comfort zones in order to get the best pictures. Couldn't have chosen a better Photographer and Videographer
I couldn't have chosen a best photographer for my wedding day. I had been researching for 3 months and I was unsure if I should hire a vendor outside the hotel but in talking to Silvina I decided to go with SweetFire photography as it was such a special day I wanted to make sure we would get the best pictures.
It´s so hard planning a wedding in another country but Silvina was so prompt answering all my e-mails and questions. She was organized and helped me pick out the best time for my wedding so I could have the beautiful golden sun light and plan the minutes accordingly so we would have time to take all the pictures we wanted to around the resot.
As soon as Silvina and Ivan arrived at my room they started working right away. I was worried my fiancé and I wouldn’t know what to do and it would be awkward but they were so creative with the poses and locations for the photos and video that time just flew by without us even noticing. We had so much fun while they were capturing our day.
We want to renew our vows in a few years in Riviera Maya again and for sure we will be contacting SweetFire to capture and share this moment with us again!

Sweetfire is the absolute best at what they do
I must say sweet fire is the absolute best at what they do. I planned an ellaborate proposal and by the end of the day it all fell apart (I missed my bookings and lost my wallet). Silvina and her team were our saviours, not only did they cheer us up, I was still able to propose to my girlfriend, now fiance and it is a moment she would forever remember. If you want or need photographers these are the people you should choose.
Our photographers were very well done. We are not experience models and Silvina and Lincoln turned us into fashionistas for the day. The photoshoot was absolutely glorious and I say with complete confidence, this is one of the best purchases I have made in my lifetime.
To date my fiance and I are still talking about the proposal, the photos and how it all came together. I recommend sweet fire and there team for all your photography needs. Trust me...you would not regret it.
